1. Information We Collect
We may collect personal information from you in a variety of ways to improve your experience on our site, including:
- Personal Data: This includes your name and email address, collected only if you voluntarily submit them to us (e.g., when signing up for our weekly newsletter to receive backyard ideas, filling out our contact form, or submitting photos of your own backyard).
- Usage Data (Log Files): Like many websites, Backyard Mood makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, and number of clicks. This information is used to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement, and gather broad demographic information. 2. Cookies and Web Beacons
Backyard Mood uses "cookies" to store information about visitors' preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses or visits, and to customize our web page content (such as displaying your favorite landscaping projects) based upon visitors' browser type or other information sent via the browser.
If you wish to disable cookies, you may do so through your individual browser options. Detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found at the browsers' respective websites.

Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
We also participate in affiliate marketing programs, which means we may earn commissions on purchases made through links to retailer sites (such as tools or patio furniture on Amazon or home improvement stores). When you click an affiliate link, a cookie is placed on your browser to track the sale.
Backyard Mood has no access to or control over the cookies that are used by third-party advertisers. You should consult the respective Privacy Policies of these third-party ad servers for more detailed information on their practices.
